Dir En Grey is an experimental rock group of Japanese origin. The band was formed in 1997 and has been through numerous stylistic changes since then. When the group was founded, it was related to Visual Kei Japanese subculture originated in 1980, which is based on rock, glam rock, metal, and punk rock; however, the group has recently moderated its clothing style. Although the group mainly performs in Japanese, its music became popular all over the world, including the USA. |
