Rihanna was born on February 20, 1988, on Barbados Island. In 2005 the singer released her first album, Music of the Sun. The album featured Pon de Replay, the hit single which made Rihanna popular. In 2008 Rihanna won a Grammy for the song Umbrella. Additionally, as of October 2008 the singer had topped Billboard’s Hot 100 five times. |
